U.S. EPA removes United Scrap Lead Co. site in Troy, Ohio, from Superfund list

News Release: CHICAGO (Sept. 14, 2021) – Today, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the United Scrap Lead Co. Superfund site in Troy, Ohio, has been deleted from Superfund’s National Priorities List, or NPL. The agency has determined that the required cleanup for the site is now complete and no further action is necessary other than continued operation and maintenance, monitoring and five-year reviews.

EPA deletes portion of Libby, Montana Superfund site from National Priorities List

News Release: Libby, Mont. (Sept. 14, 2021) -- Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the deletion of a portion of the Libby Asbestos Superfund site in Libby, Mont. from EPA’s National Priorities List (NPL).  EPA and the Montana Department of Environmental Quality have determined that all cleanup activities required for deletion are complete at Operable Unit 8 (OU8) of the site.

EPA deletes portion of Eagle Mine Superfund site from the National Priorities List

News Release: Minturn, Colo. (Sept. 14, 2021) - Today, The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the deletion of a portion of the Eagle Mine Superfund site in Minturn, Colorado, from the National Priorities List (NPL). The deleted part of the site consists of the abandoned mining Town of Gilman Operable Unit 2 (OU2) which covers approximately 50 acres and includes an estimated ninety buildings within its boundaries.

News Release: CHICAGO (Sept. 14, 2021) – Today, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced the Barrels Inc. site at 1404 North Larch St. in Lansing, Michigan, has been deleted from Superfund’s National Priorities List, or NPL. EPA has determined that the site cleanup is complete and no further action is required. Operation, maintenance, and monitoring activities will continue at the site as needed.
