May: Environmental Protection Agency publishes 149 press releases

There were 149 press releases published by the Environmental Protection Agency in May.

The most recent press release, "Settlement Leads to Halt of Scrap Metal Releases into Mt. Hope Bay," was submitted on May 28.

The Environmental Protection Agency published 157 the month before, marking a 5.1 percent decrease for the current month.

More than half of the Agency's employees are engineers, scientists and protection specialists. The Climate Reality Project, a global climate activist organization, accused Agency leadership in the last five years of undermining its main mission.

The EPA's budget increased by 18 percent in fiscal year 2022.
