Environmental Protection Agency publishes 100 press releases in August

There were 100 press releases published by the Environmental Protection Agency in August.

The most recent press release, "EPA and Justice Department reach settlement with Northern Cheyenne Utilities Commission to address Clean Water Act violations in Montana," was submitted on Aug. 31.

The Environmental Protection Agency published 71 the month before, marking a 40.8 percent increase for the current month.

More than half of the Agency's employees are engineers, scientists and protection specialists. The Climate Reality Project, a global climate activist organization, accused Agency leadership in the last five years of undermining its main mission.

The EPA's budget increased by 18 percent in fiscal year 2022.
