Committee on Oversight and Government Reform: Held a hearing on the Financial Crisis and the Role of the Federal Regulators. Testimony was heard from Christopher Cox, Chairman, SEC; Alan Greenspan, former Chairman, Board of Governors, Federal Reserve System; and John Snow, former Secretary of the Treasury.
The Committee also approved the following Committee reports: report on assertion of executive privilege in response to the Committee's subpoena to Stephen Johnson, Administrator, Environmental Protection Agency, and Susan Dudley, Administrator, White House Office of Management and Budget; and a report on the activities of the White House Office of Political Affairs.

Committee on Financial Services: On October 21, the Committee held a hearing entitled ``Regulatory Restructuring and Reform of the Financial System.'' Testimony was heard from public witnesses.
