Committee on Environment and Public Works: Committee concluded hearings on the nominations of Donald J. Barry, of Wisconsin, to be Assistant Secretary of the Interior for Fish and Wildlife, and Sallyanne Harper, of Virginia, to be Chief Financial Officer, Environmental Protection Agency, after the nominees testified and answered questions in their own behalf.
ANTI-PERSONNEL LANDMINE BANS
Committee on Foreign Relations: Committee held hearings to examine the military implications of certain initiatives to prevent the United States from making use of anti-personnel landmines, receiving testimony from Gen. Carl E. Mundy, USMC (Ret.), former Commandant; Gen. Frederick J. Kroesen, USA (Ret.), former Commander-in-Chief, Europe; and Gen. Raymond G. Davis, USMC (Ret.), former Assistant Commandant.
