May 31, 2012 sees Congressional Record publish “House Committee Meetings”

Volume 158, No. 80 covering the 2nd Session of the 112th Congress (2011 - 2012) was published by the Congressional Record.

The Congressional Record is a unique source of public documentation. It started in 1873, documenting nearly all the major and minor policies being discussed and debated.

INTERNATIONAL PROPOSALS TO REGULATE THE INTERNET

Committee on Energy and Commerce: Subcommittee on Communications and Technology held a hearing entitled ``International Proposals to Regulate the Internet''. Testimony was heard from Philip Verveer, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and U.S. Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy; Robert McDowell, Federal Communications Commission; and public witnesses.

MISCELLANEOUS MEASURES

Committee on Financial Services: Full Committee held a markup of H.R. 1588, the ``Consumer Rental Purchase Agreement Act''; and H.R. 3128, to amend the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act to adjust the date on which consolidated assets are determined for purposes of exempting certain instruments of smaller institutions from capital deductions. H.R. 1588 was ordered reported, as amended, and H.R. 3128 was ordered reported, without amendment.

Committee on Homeland Security: Subcommittee on Transportation Security held a hearing entitled ``TSA's Surface Inspection Program: Strengthening Security or Squandering Scant Resources?''. Testimony was heard from public witnesses.
