AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT

Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation: Committee concluded an oversight hearing to examine the broadband stimulus programs in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, focusing on the steps taken to address challenges, and the remaining risks in evaluating applications and awarding funds and overseeing funded projects, after receiving testimony from Lawrence E. Strickling, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information, National Telecommunications and Information Administration; Jonathan Adelstein, Administrator, Rural Utilities Service, USDA Rural Development, Rural Utilities Service, Department of Agriculture; and Mark L. Goldstein, Director, Physical Infrastructure Issues, Government Accountability Office.
