Tauscher, of California, to be Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, after the nominee, who was introduced by Senator Feinstein and Representative Hoyer, testified and answered questions in her own behalf.

Committee on Foreign Relations: Committee concluded a hearing to examine the nomination of Eric P. Goosby, of California, to be Ambassador at Large and Coordinator of United States Government Activities to Combat HIV/AIDS Globally, Department of State, after the nominee testified and answered questions in his own behalf.

PROLONGED DETENTION

Committee on the Judiciary: Subcommittee on the Constitution concluded a hearing to examine the legal, moral, and national security consequences of prolonged detention, after receiving testimony from Sarah H.
