Missouri Department of Natural Resources issued the following announcement on July 12.
Have you ever wondered what happens on the prairie after dark? Visit Prairie State Park at 8:30 p.m., Friday, July 19 to find out! During the hike, participants will discuss nocturnal animals found on the prairie and unravel the mysteries of the night from an animal's perspective. Meet at the Regal Tallgrass Prairie Nature Center for an approximate 1.5-mile hike. Bring a flashlight and wear sturdy shoes. The use of insect repellent is also recommended.
