WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES: Head to Mead Wildlife Area in October for the annual Spooktacular and Food Drive event

Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources issued the following announcement on Oct. 9.

Celebrate the arrival of fall and head to the Stanton W. Mead Education and Visitor Center Area in October for the annual Spooktacular and Food Drive.

The theme for 2018 is "endangered species" - attendees can enjoy pumpkin decorating, Halloween crafts, a look at some endangered critters and more.

This event will take place Saturday, Oct. 20, from 5:30-8 p.m. Admission is $2 per person, or free of charge with a non-perishable food item for donation. Mead Wildlife Area is located at S2148 CTY Road S, Milladore.
