Idaho Department of Environmental Quality seeking comments on proposed Pocatello vapor combustion unit

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) recently determined that conditions described in an air quality permit to construct application submitted by Tesoro Logistics Operations would not violate ambient air quality standards at the proposed Pocatello, Idaho, site.

Tesoro Logistics submitted the application for its previously constructed vapor combustion unit at 1189 Tank Farm Road in Pocatello. Per the operations outlined in the company’s application, the DEQ’s review found that the facility’s operation would not cause or contribute to violations of air quality regulations and would not unreasonably affect local human, animal and vegetation life.

The DEQ has made the permit application, its proposed permit and all related documents available on its website for public review. Anyone interested in commenting on the proposed permit can do so by mail or email. Comments should be submitted to the DEQ’s Air Quality Division by 5 p.m. Dec. 29.
