Idaho DEQ awards $40,000 drinking water planning grant to Troy

Troy, Idaho, located in Latah County, recently won a drinking water planning grant of $40,000 from the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) that will go toward the evaluation of the city’s water system.
 
The project bears a total eligible cost of $80,000, half of which the DEQ will cover with the remaining half of the funding coming from the city of Troy.

The project includes the preparation of a drinking water planning study and an environmental information document. The city of Troy is undertaking this project to evaluate its water system, searching for any deficiencies and determining any areas that require improvements.
