Deary, Idaho, located in Latah County, recently won a $25,000 drinking water planning grant from the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), covering half of the costs of a drinking water planning study.
The city will use the funding to support a $50,000 project that will evaluate its water systems deficiencies and help the city determine any necessary improvements to its system. The project will result in a drinking water planning study and environmental information document.
The remaining $25,000 needed to complete the project will be provided by the city of Deary.
