EPA announces Georgia’s Clean Control Corp. is Safer Choice Partner of the Year winner

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently announced that Warner Robins, Georgia’s, Clean Control Corp. is amongst 2016’s 24 Safer Choice Partner of the Year award winners, due to their work to produce safer cleaning and household products.

The Safer Choice program requires chemical manufacturers to comply with strict standards for the ingredients used in their products, which have been approved through a full chemical identification. In cases where component ingredients have not been fully identified, the EPA requires studies conducted by chemists and toxicologists to confirm the safety of the chemicals used. The Safer Choice standards are the result of input from numerous stakeholders, including businesses, public interest groups and environmental and health advocacy organiizations.

The Clean Control Corp. was one of 10 Safer Formulator-Manufacturer awardees, and the only company in Georgia to receive Safer Choice Partner of the Year recognition.

“Everyone wants products with ingredients that are safer for their kids, pets, communities and the environment,” EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy. “Using technology and innovation to turn challenges into profitable opportunities makes our businesses stronger and more competitive, our families and workers healthier, and our environment cleaner.”
