“The technical assistance provided by these grants will help businesses find opportunities to reduce or prevent pollution through cost-effective changes in production, operation and raw materials use," Regional EPA Land and Chemicals Division Director Margaret M. Guerriero said.
The grant program is available to states and state affiliates like state colleges and universities, as well as federally recognized tribes. The funding will go toward projects that help local and regional businesses reduce their environmental impact, including hazardous-materials reduction or energy and water conservation.
The EPA is accepting grant applications until May 9, and more information on the application process can be found on the agency’s website.
