Weston, Idaho, receives $27,000 drinking water planning grant from ID DEQ

Weston, Idaho, recently won a drinking water planning grant of $27,000 from the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), which it will use to evaluate its current drinking water system.

Weston, which is located in Franklin County, will use the $27,000 to partially fund a drinking water planning study and environmental information document. These items will help the city understand the current state of its system, including any deficiencies it may have, and determine alternatives to complete any necessary improvements.

The project’s estimated cost is $54,000, and the city will provide the remaining $27,000 necessary to complete it.
