Idaho DEQ awards McCall $77,000 wastewater planning grant to study leaking lagoons

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) recently awarded a $77,000 wastewater planning grant to Valley County’s city of McCall, which the city will use to undertake a wastewater planning study.

McCall will match the DEQ’s funding, providing an additional $77,000 to account for the remaining total eligible cost of the project, which is $154,000. The wastewater planning study will allow the city to evaluate its lagoons and determine the extent of their leaking.

Among the various duties of the DEQ is to work with local communities to implement cost-effective environmental solutions.
