Idaho’s Clark Fork wins $30,000 drinking water planning grant from ID DEQ

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) recently announced that it will fund half of a $60,000 project to improve the drinking water infrastructure in Bonner County’s Clark Fork.

The DEQ will provide the city with a $30,000 drinking water planning grant, which Clark Fork will use to prepare a drinking water planning study and an environmental Information document. Clark Fork will match the DEQ’s funding, providing the remaining $30,000 needed to complete the project.

Through the DEQ’s funding, Clark Fork will be able to evaluate its current drinking water system and plan for the future, taking into account projected growth. The city will also identify any needed improvements and develop alternative plans.
