Idaho DEQ seeks public comment on air quality permit for Northwest Pipeline LLC

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) announced this week that it is accepting public comments on a permit renewal for Northwest Pipeline LLC’s Pegram facility that would extend the department’s regulation of the company’s emissions.

The draft Tier I air quality operating permit would renew the departments limits of air pollutants for the facility for further five years. It is available for public review on the DEQ’s website, along the Northwest Pipeline’s permit application and other related documents.

Interested parties can contact the DEQ’s Air Quality Division for more technical information about the permit and can submit comments on it online or through the mail to the DEQ’s State Office in Boise. Comments must be submitted by December 18, and requests for a public hearing on the draft permit must be requested in writing by December 3.
