Idaho DEQ announces $20,000 grant for Bingham County drinking water study

Bingham County, Idaho’s Groveland Water and Sewer District will receive a $20,000 grant from the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to prepare a drinking water planning study.

The drinking water planning grant will allow the district to study its current drinking water system and determine areas of focus as it grows. It will also allow the district to facilitate necessary upgrades through alternative plans.

The DEQ awarded the grant on a matching funds basis, so the Groveland Water and Sewer District will make up the remaining dollars to complete the $40,000 project.
