Idaho's DEQ mulls permit for oil and gas production facility

Alta Mesa Services recently submitted a request for an air quality permit (PTC) to construct its Kauffman 1-34 facility in New Plymouth, Idaho, according to a  release from the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ).

The permit application is available for public viewing on the DEQ’s website, and the DEQ will launch a 30-day public comment period if one is requested by November 5.

The permit Alta Mesa requested would cover emissions generated by constructing its oil and gas production facility, which is almost five miles northeast of the intersection of Highway 52 and Little Willow Road.

Requests for a public comment period must be submitted in writing, either via email or sent to the DEQ State Office in Boise.
