Idaho DEQ calls for public comments on proposed permit for natural gas facility

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) announced today that it is accepting public comments on an air quality permit to construct (PTC), which has been requested by Alta Mesa Services LP, located in New Plymouth, for a natural gas gathering facility.

According to the DEQ’s announcement, the construction and operation of equipment detailed in Alta Mesa Services’ permit application, if carried out under the proposed permit conditions, will not violate ambient air quality standards and will not harm public health, wildlife or vegetation. The facility is located on Little Willow Road.

Comments can be submitted to the DEQ online, via email or through the mail and must be received by Nov. 6, 2015. All materials related to the proposed permit, including the permit application and the permit itself, can be viewed on the DEQ website.
