U.S. Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) said this week that  North Dakota will receivefunding to install 90 biofuel pumps at fueling stations around the state, each dispensing E15 and E85 fuel blends, as part of the  USDA’s Biofuel Infrastructure Partnership (BIP) Grant Program.

“Access to more pumps should provide consumers with more opportunities to use biofuels in their vehicles, if that is their choice," Cramer said. "It will also provide more customer-response data for policy makers and regulators to use in considering the future of these programs.”

The BIP Program will increase the number of pumps able to dispense the biofuel blends around the country, providing $100 million in grants to convert roughly 5,000 pumps spread across 1,400 fueling stations. North Dakota’s 90 pumps are an estimate, and funding figures for the states selected to participate in the BIP program will be released in the future.
