Lassila & Tikanoja makes renewable energy sources focus of business

Lassila & Tikanoja announced today that its board of directors has approved an updated group strategy that shifts the company’s core business to the Renewable Energy Sources division in response to growing market pressure and demand.

According to the company’s release, the strategy is aimed at building the current consumer society into a recycling society, wherein existing materials are used efficiently. Lassila & Tikanoja also plans to work towards optimized energy consumption and sustainable growth that will create jobs and wellbeing.

In recent years, we have improved the operational efficiency and profitability of our Renewable Energy Sources business. The outlook of the business environment is also positive, thanks to the growing demand for wood biomass and the political and legislative setting that supports business.”
