Johnson Thermal Systems in Idaho requests air quality general permit

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) announced Thursday that Johnson Thermal Systems Inc. in Caldwell, Idaho has requested an air quality general permit or its industrial construction facility at 1711 Slipstream Way.

The permit will regulate automotive coating operations. Being a streamlined general permit, the facility will be limited to applying a maximum of four gallons of coating materials per day.

The permit is available for review on the DEQ’s website, and the department will host a public comment period of 30 days if one is requested before 5 p.m. on Aug. 14.
