Monsanto’s Warrant Ultra Herbicide gains EPA approval
“University research shows that Warrant Ultra Herbicide provides excellent residual control of annual grasses and small-seeded broadleaf weeds when compared to competitive products,” Monsanto’s Marketing Manager for Selective Herbicides Austin Horn said. “Because of its microencapsulation technology, Warrant Ultra Herbicide also offers superior crop safety when compared to competitive products.”
Warrant Ultra Herbicide combines the active ingredients already successfully used by Monsanto: Warrant Herbicide’s acetochlor and fomesafen, which is recommended for use in Roundup Ready PLUS Crop Management Solutions. The former uses acetochlor for residual weed control that encompasses glyphosate-resistant weeds and is microencapsulated, promoting crop safety. The latter is one of several weed-management options used in the Roundup Ready PLUS Crop Management Solutions system.
Joining Rowel Herbicide and Rowel FX Herbicide on April 14 on the list of Monsanto products to gain approval this year, Warrant Ultra Herbicide will be featured in the recommendations and incentives for 2016’s Roundup Ready PLUS Crop Management Solutions.
