TopBuild Home Services earns EPA Energy Star award

TopBuild Home Services achieved top honors from the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Energy Star program, and will collect its 2015 Energy Star Partner of the Year – Home Energy Rater Award on Monday.

“TopBuild Home Services is proud to win this award," TopBuild’s vice president of building Dave Bell said. "By rating homes to verify Energy Star standards are met, we are helping to deliver more homes to American homebuyers that offer improved comfort and lower utility bills, while also helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions."

The Energy Star program works to help homeowners make their properties more efficient in terms of energy consumption. In its role as a Home Energy Rater, TopBuild evaluates, tests and independently verifies homes seeking Energy Star compliance. Having provided these services since 2001, the company has worked with over 200,000 homes.

"TopBuild Home Services gives homebuyers the peace of mind that their home is constructed to Energy Star requirements by verifying the performance of new energy-efficient homes," EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy said. "This award recognizes TopBuild Home Services leadership in rating ENERGY STAR certified homes that save energy, save money and reduce our nation's greenhouse gas emissions."
