Idaho DEQ helps fund Idaho City wastewater system evaluation with $35,000 grant

Idaho City, in Boise County, recently won a wastewater planning grant worth $35,000 from the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), which the city will use to plan improvements to its wastewater system.

Idaho City will provide matching funds for the project, which the city estimates will cost $70,000.

The funding allows Idaho City to evaluate its current wastewater system and address compliance issues by determining alternative technologies and processes. The DEQ funding will go toward preparing documents related to wastewater planning and providing environmental information.
