Abbot appoints five to Lower Neches Valley Authority Board of Directors

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott recently made five appointments to the Lower Neches Valley Authority Board of Directors, which governs the conservation, control and utilization of the Lower Neches River and its connected waterways.

Abbott appointed Jeanie Turk and Lonnie Grissom for terms lasting until July 28, 2021, and reappointed Ivy Pate for the same term. He also appointed Steve Lucas, who will serve until July 28, 2019, and Kal Kincaid, who will serve until July 28, 2017.

Jeanie Turk owns two REMAX offices and is a member of several realty associations, including the Houston Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and the Graduate Realtor Instittute.

Lonnie Grissom, the president of Golden Pine Inc., serves on the Texas Forestry Association board and formerly served on the boards of the Woodville Independent School District and the Woodville Rotary Club.

A regional vice president of the Chirstus Southeast Texas Health System, Ivy Pate is a member of several medical organizations, including the American Hospital Association, the Texas Hospital Association, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and the Planned Giving Council of Houston.

Steve Lucas works at the Post Oak Bank as an executive vice president and advisory director, and serves on the board of United Way of Beaumont and Wesley United Methodist Church.

Kal Kincaid heads construction company APAC-Texas, chairs the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce’s transportation division as well as Lamar University’s Construction Management Advisory Board.
