Ohio EPA drafts rule amendments to comply with EPA Revised Total Coliform Rule

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) recently announced that its Division of Drinking and Ground Waters (DDAGW) has drafted revisions to several rules in the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC).

The revised rules apply to Chapters 3745-81 and 3745-96, and the changes are due to a five-year review required by Section 106.03 and, primarily, due to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Revised Total Coliform Rule.

The Ohio EPA is seeking a second round of comments from interested parties, including political subdivisions, environmental and business interests and others. The agency is also seeking comments on the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) Form, which it developed in conjunction with the Common Sense Initiative (CSI) Office.

Comments can be submitted to the Ohio EPA through the mail at the DDAGW’s P.O. Box 1049, Lazarus Government Center, Columbus, Ohio 43216-1049, Attn: Susan Kramer, or by email to ddagw_rulecomments@epa.ohio.gov. Comments should be received by December. 2.
