Former reporter Ann Notarangelo to become manager of external relations for Shell Martinez

Shell Martinez recently announced that Contra Costa County, California native and former KPIX of San Francisco broadcast reporter Ann Notarangelo will be the facility’s new manager of external relations.

In that role, she will manage social investment, engagement and government and media relations.

“When I was approached about this position, I knew it was a rare and exciting opportunity,” Notarangelo said. “My time spent working as a reporter in the East Bay made me aware of Shell’s uniquely positive relationship with our community. From its environmental philosophy to the way it treats its neighbors, everyone I have talked with acknowledges Shell is a company that does things the right way.”

Notarangelo spent 14 years at CBS San Francisco affiliate KPIX and also worked for CNN in Washington, D.C. She is leaving her community relations director position at Contra Costa County Employment & Human Services to take on this role with Shell.

“We are very excited to welcome Ann to the Shell family,” Shell Martinez General Manager Tom Rizzo said. "She has the ability not simply to help tell our story, but to bring the outside-in and ensure we put the community’s interest at the center of the decisions we make. As a resident of Martinez myself, I am very pleased to have Ann as a part of my leadership team.”
