Idaho DEQ to discuss air quality State Implementation Plan at upcoming meeting

The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) announced on Thursday that it will meet with the West Silver Valley Air Quality Citizens Advisory Committee next week to discuss the State Implementation Plan for air quality.

The committee members and DEQ officials will continue their work on the air quality improvement plan, which will inform how the region achieves and maintains compliance with air quality standards when it is complete. On the agenda for the upcoming meeting is woodstoves and the educational materials. The group has already created an informational brochure, which will be finalized, and it intends to work to develop further materials and messaging.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will take place on November 19 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Kellogg at the Panhandle Health District Office.
