Power Magazine announces EPA general counsel as keynote speaker for December conference

Power Magazine announced Wednesday that Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) General Counsel Avi S. Garbow will be the keynote speaker at its Navigating Legal Implications of Power Industry Regulations conference in Las Vegas on Dec. 7.

Garbow has worked in environmental law for more than 20 years and has served as the EPA general counsel since 2013, following four years as the deputy general counsel. His speech will cover the agency’s future regulation plans.

The conference is targeted at senior managers from the power sector and will help them navigate the recent regulatory changes to the industry. Conference topics will cover new legislation affecting the industry, the Clean Power Plan and the implications of the litigations filed against it and staying in compliance with the new regulations that have been developed recently.
